On 1/8/25, we assessed the client’s upstairs toilet and identified it as a rear discharge model with a flush assist system, required due to existing plumbing. The issue was determined to be a faulty tank-to-bowl seal. Initial attempts to fix the leak with available parts were unsuccessful. The client reviewed replacement options but opted not to purchase a new unit at this time. The downstairs toilet was installed and function tested six times with no issues.

On 1/9/25, we returned with a matching tank-to-bowl gasket from the supply house. The upstairs toilet was repaired with the new gasket and a wax seal, and function tested six times. The system was monitored for 15 minutes to confirm no leaks. The water pressure was noted at 80 PSI, and the addition of a thermal expansion tank was recommended. The client plans to consult their previous plumber regarding this recommendation. All work was completed and confirmed operational.
